Football season has finally arrived, which means it’s time to partake in America’s favorite past time: Tailgating.
Many football fans have different traditions they incorporate in to their tailgating routines, but overall, the needs are the same. The essentials include good food, delicious drinks and the best company. Keep your company cool on hot game days and dry on wet game days with a tent. Be sure to also come prepared with plenty of chairs and tables for food.
When it comes to tailgating cuisine, stick with simple items that you can make in bulk, such as cheese dip, pigs in a blanket, pepper jelly glazed meatballs and other easy-to-prepare recipes. Bake up some football-shaped brownies for the kids, and bring a fruit tray for healthy-snackers. Throw your favorite beverages and some ice in a cooler, and you’re all set.
Play up your team spirit with festive paper plates and utensils that match your team’s colors. Hang a banner or a flag so there’s no doubt who your #1 team is. Last (but certainly not least), don’t forget to dress the part and have fun!
