Super Bowl Party Inspo
The New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons will face off in Super Bowl LI this Sunday. Super Bowl Sunday has become quite the holiday in America, so we already know you’re planning on throwing or attending a watch party (even if it’s just to watch Lady Gaga’s halftime performance). It’s easy to have fun with prepping for your Super Bowl bash, and we’ve got a few ideas to make you the party-hosting champion!
Kick off is set for 6:30 pm EST, so you’ll absolutely want to have plenty of food for those hungry football fans. We suggest serving basic tailgate foods, such as pizza, burgers and hotdogs. Allow guests to customize their own meals by setting up a nacho bar. Football games (especially the Super Bowl) can be long, so consider a halftime snack. Because their eyes will be glued to the big screen, sort some chips and popcorn into little individual bags. If you’re in the DIY mood, add a little festive flare to your lunch bags by making them into footballs.
Brownies are the staple pieces to every football watch party menu. Drizzle a bit of icing down the middle and you’ve got yourself some touchdown brownies! This look is also easily achieved with ice cream sandwiches, cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries. To encourage the friendly competition (or if you prefer one team over the other) bake Falcons-colored and/or Patriots-colored Rice Krispie bites.
Your drink menu will likely differ depending on the preferences of your guests. Just make sure you have plenty of beer and water. Set up a water break station to really set the scene.
What's the game plan for decorations? Make a football field table cloth for your kitchen island or table. Hang a concession stand sign over your treats. Create a football paper chain - a craft you can even get the kids involved with! Speaking of kids, set aside some Ring Pops as “Super Bowl Rings.”
