What better way to start off a new season than with a wedding exclusive from Mahaffey's own famous fall bride! Over the past weekend, the Mahaffey Team was thrilled to watch as our October bride, Kristy, experienced a real life fairytale when she arrived by a horse-drawn carriage to marry her Prince Charming at the ever-so-quaint Hughes-College Hill Park in Arlington, TN.
Everything about this wedding screamed rustic chic. And, as many of you wedding and event planners know, rustic chic is not just a trend, its a style.
From the bride wearing cowgirl boots to mason jars being filled with every southerners favorite - sweet tea - guests continued to fall in love with this cozy, country affair. The hubby himself joined in on this country chic affair by adding his own handmade flare with the creation of personalized DIY signs.
Another member from our team, Jason at J Bernard Events & Catering, did a remarkable job creating a homespun feel on the southern-styled table display. Catering and food service items sat atop table rentals to showcase comfort foods that were so good they made your mouth water. In true southern fashion, decadent lace linens that were made on the catering end were tied throughout the dishes which helped create just the right amount of sweet, last minute touches.
Once the ceremony was over and all of the sentimental heart strings were pulled, guests were ready to kick up their heels and hit the dance floor in true southern style. Surrounded by stringed lighting, guests were able to dance the night away while the DJ played nothing but the best country hits.
