Your engagement and wedding planning process can create a whirlwind of emotions. Don't let this hectic, and sometimes stressful, process completely blow you away with these helpful tips!

Take Your Time

This is the day you have been planning in your head since you were a little girl, so don't rush it! Let it all soak in and take things one step at a time.

Make your wedding day unique and let your creativity flow. Make your wedding one to remember by taking a minute to stop and smell the roses (literally)!

It will ease the stress and make the wedding experience much more enjoyable for you and your guests.

Be Present

You will hear many couple say 'Everything went by so fast, it just seemed like a blur!' Don't let that be you! Take time to kiss your husband and really focus on each other.

Ask your officiant to include a “deep breath” moment so you can look over the audience, gaze at your spouse, and burn the memory into your brain.

Do your best to cherish every moment and enjoy not only each others company, but also your friends and family who are there to celebrate your love.

Don't Stress

You can't please everyone! Getting caught up in making your wedding "perfect" because it will only lead to disappointment and stress in the long run.

Get organized with a 3-ring binder and hire a wedding coordinator to handle the little details so you can just sit back and relax. Remember what is important on your special day and don't let the little things get in the way of the big picture.

EAT!

With all the mayhem and madness that goes on the day of the wedding, many brides forget to stop and get some nutrients before the nuptials.

It is going to be a long day and you don't want to feel faint before you even get to break out the champagne glasses so try to eat a breakfast high in protein and complex carbs to last you throughout the day!

Listen To Mother Nature

Pay attention to what season your wedding will be in. If your're planning an outdoor event with tents, make sure to consider the temperature and potential weather conditions and plan to have indoor accommodations available as well.

For a summer wedding be prepared for bugs, bright sunlight or heat by presenting guest with gift bags that include fans, sunglasses, and bug spray to make sure everyone is feeling the wedding bliss, not bug bights!

Wedding Day Survival Kit

Accidents seem to happen when you least expect it so be prepared for anything by creating a small survival kit.

Pack a small bag with a couple of common items like tampons, a first aid kit, a Tide To Go stain remover pen, deodorant and anything else that might fix a minor emergency.

Stick To Your Budget

What happens if you don't? You accumulate debt and that is no way to start off the blissful married life you've been dreaming of.

Splurging on insignificant items may result in having to sacrifice wedding day details that really matter or take away from your honeymoon you and your hubby have eagerly been awaiting.

So don't let the stress of debt effect your special day, create a budget and stick to it! See more tips and advice here ...
